Sewer & Water Main Replacement Group 747
Sewer & water mains are being replaced in the Little Italy neighborhood. The anticipated project completion is December 2009.
Areas affected during the month of June/July/August:
• Now thru 7-21, 8:30a-3:30p. State from West Date to West Grape.
• 7-13 thru 8-6, 9:30a-5:30p. Front from A St to Beech.
• 7-31 thru 8-25, 9:30a-5:30p. Front from Beech to Date.
Water Group 532 and 533
Water main lines are being replaced within the Little Italy, Columbia, and Marina Neighborhoods.
The entire work is located within developed streets and will be constructed using open trench method. This project involves realignment of approximately 10,162 lineal feet (LF) of water main. The new mains will be parallel to the existing mains in the same street. The existing 16” cast iron mains will be abandoned after the acceptance of the new mains. The majority of the water mains are 16-inch in diameter. The project will replace a small footage of 6-inch and 12-inch.
Streets impacted by Water Group 532 are: North Harbor Dr (beginning at Laurel, south to the intersection of Pacific Hwy and Harbor Dr) and Pacific Hwy (from Seaport Village to F St).
Streets impacted by Water Group 533 are: North Harbor Dr (beginning west of Harbor Island Dr to the bridge and starting east of Harbor Island Dr to Laurel). This is in the vicinity of the San Diego Airport.
Construction began May 26, 2009 and will be completed by April 12, 2010. Hours: Monday thru Friday 8:30a-3:30p AND Monday thru Friday 9:00p-6:00a.
